Hi! I'm Kemberly, Mr. Ronnie Peoples outside friend, spoken about in the article. First of all, thank you, Alabama Appleseed (Eddie Burkhalter) for lending your ear and opening your heart to such a growing issue in the Alabama prison systems. August 9th of this year made four years that I have known Mr. Peoples and he is truly an unbelievably strong individual. God has truly kept and covered Mr. Peoples over the years. We've worked and communicated together on getting him home because he is overdue for a release. Mr. Peoples was railroaded into an illegal sentence. Due to his lack of knowledge of law and no great financial means to secure a lawyer, he was just thrown away. Over the years, he has fought in and out of the courts, never giving up on himself and what he believed to be a rightful sentence. Even finding a United States Supreme Court Statue that would provide a grounded basis for his release. After submitting this statue, along with other evidentiary articles, we still wait for a response from the courts after a year of no communication. His family needs him home, I need him home, so that we can take care of him and get him proper and immediate care. It's just time! He's overpaid and given more than his time of punishment. I've never come across a more gentle-spirited individual. All he talks about is his grandsons and being able to spend some time with them, building and establishing a relationship with them. He loves life and he loves that God has brought him even this far to be heard by you guys. Thank you for shining a light on him, hearing him out and expressing a since of compassion, which is greatly needed right now for him. Again, thank you Alabama Appleseed, Eddie Burkhalter, for this article and bringing awareness to the readers.
