Alabama Appleseed, a statewide 501(c)(3) established in 1999, is affiliated with the Appleseed Network located in Washington, DC as one of its independent state advocacy centers. Alabama Appleseed’s mission is to identify significant needs in the State of Alabama, tackle their root causes and craft practical, lasting solutions through legal advocacy, community activism, and policy expertise. We are a multi-issue advocacy organization.
The interns at Alabama Appleseed work on a variety of issues, both current and future.
We accept interns throughout the year. This is an unpaid position. However, we will assist applicants in completing externship documentation or paperwork otherwise necessary to obtain stipends or other financial assistance available through school programs. Any travel or expense incurred during work performed on behalf of Appleseed, excluding commuting to and from the office, will be reimbursed.
